The 5th Arab Water Forum was successfully concluded after 3 days of intensive deliberations on Water for Peace & Development in the Arab Region, during the period of 21-23 September 2021 in Dubai, UAE.

 

The 5th Arab Water Forum (www.arabwaterforum.org) was successfully concluded after 3 days of intensive deliberations on Water for Peace & Development in the Arab Region, during the period of 21-23 September 2021 in Dubai, UAE.

Attended by over 600 water and related experts, the Forum was inaugurated by HE. Suhail AlMazroui, UAE Minister of Energy & Infrastructure, HE. Mahmoud AbuZeid, President of the Arab Water Council, HE. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, League of Arab States General Secretary, HE. Mohamed Abdelaty, Egypt Minister of Water Resources, HE. Mr. Louic Fauchon, President of the World Water Council, and HE. Serigne Thiam, Senegal Minister of Water & Sanitation, host of the 9th World Water Forum.

The Arab Water Expo, associated with the Forum was inaugurated by HE. Mariam Bint Mohammed Almehiri, Minister of Food & Water Security.

The Opening Ceremony was also attended by several Ministers including HE. Assem Elgazzar, Egypt Minister of Housing, HE. Tamam Raad, Syria Minister of Water Resources, HE. Tarek Abdelsalam, Libya Minister of Water Resources, and HE. Wael Almubarak, Bahrain Minister of Electricity & water.

The Arab Water Council’s 18th Governing Board Meeting was also held during the Forum.
