AWC organized the 2nd Technical Meeting of LAS “SDG-Climate Nexus Facility" on the 10th of May,2018.The meeting gathered regional partners from UNDP, UNISDR, WFP, CEDARE, ICARDA and AWC to discuss several proposed concept notes and areas of work to be implemented under the 1st phase of the “SDG-Climate Nexus Facility” in 2018. The Facility is considered a multi-phased program that aims at supporting countries in integrating climate measures into broader SDG affiliated policies and plans while developing national capacities in accessing climate finance towards building resilience to risks and enhancing adaptive capacities in the Arab region to climate risks and natural hazards.
