The Arab Water Academy
Launched in July 2008, the Arab Water Academy (AWA) is a regional center of excellence for executive education in water. AWA aims at supporting countries as they shift from a focus on water supply augmentation and direct service provision to integrated water management. AWA finds an ideal base in Abu Dhabi, a vibrant center of learning and innovation about sustainable development. AWA is hosted by Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD) in partnership with the International Centre for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA). Contributors to the AWA courses are world class experts drawn from the regional and international communities.

Establishment of the Center was approved in December 2010 as a constituent body of AWC in Morocco, where the Hassaniyah School for Public Works, with its technical, financial and scientific facilities, expressed its interest to host the center in its primary phase. The organizational, institutional and legal aspects were prepared to start with the research and strategic studies in the Arab Region.
